Le’Veon Bell’s debut among key storylines for Chiefs vs. Broncos

Special teams woes
There’s no denying that inclement weather makes playing football that much more entertaining for fans. It also makes it that much tougher on the players. With snow in the forecast in Denver, the Chiefs and Broncos both are going to have a harder time trying to execute their game plans. For that matter, it makes it harder to even get the basics right.
When it comes to special teams play, the Chiefs are hoping to be able to right a ship that has somehow gone off course in 2020. Coverage units are allowing bigger gains. The return game is non-existent. Harrison Butker can make superhuman field goals but he’s also missing chip shots. Tommy Townsend is learning how to consistently perform as a rookie punter.
How much more difficult will this be in slippery weather? Can the Chiefs put together mistake-free football at key moments? The game is often won or lost in these details, and the Chiefs are trying to get their act together in this area before it costs them a key game.
