An Oregon-based fan of the Kansas City Chiefs has the state’s best barn roof.

This week, we were honored to hear from a fellow Kansas City Chiefs fan in Roseburg, Oregon who wanted to pass along photos of his new barn roof. We’re pretty sure it’s the best barn roof in the entire state.

Chris Brown might live in Oregon now, but he’s originally from the Kansas City area. As he told us, Chris still says he has a lot of friends in the region. “I grew up in southeast K.C.—Hickman Mills High School area—and my dad still lives in Pleasant Hill.” He moved away in 1991 but he remains faithful to Chiefs Kingdom and recently decked out his barn to let everyone know it. Check out the photos below:

Brown said he’s been a Chiefs fan his entire life and that he hasn’t had any problems connecting with others who’ve also left the area. “Since I moved away in 1991, I’ve always found good Chiefs fans all across the country to enjoy the games with.”

Brown said the barn roof was a pretty extensive project that required some careful maneuvering and a lot of time.

“The roof measures 38′ wide by 35′ high. It took about 20 man hours to paint, some sprayed and some rolled by hand. The roof is steep so I was on a rope and harness the whole time with a bucket of paint hanging off my shoulder, kinda tricky.”

Inspiration for the roof obviously came from the team, specifically from a Chiefs recent web series that debuted earlier this year. However it also helped him address a need.

“The barn project was inspired after watching The Franchise series on YouTube,” said Brown. “The roof needed a paint job and I thought it was the perfect canvas for something special. I also liked the fact that you can see it from state Highway 138 about a quarter mile from my house.”

Chiefs fans in Oregon now know where they can enjoy current games given that Brown’s house is such an obvious sign of his fandom. “I have a couple friends and a brother that are true K.C. fans out here to watch the games with,” he said, “and now this project has converted a couple more and all the neighbors love it. Luckily no Raiders fans have come by and egged it yet!”
