We break down the important stats for the Kansas City Chiefs heading into the 2020 NFL season.

The NFL’s 101st season is less than a few days away, and saying fans are excited would be an understatement. Chiefs’ Kingdom is buzzing with anticipation of Thursday’s kickoff and the beginning of the Kansas City Chiefs “run it back” campaign.

Fantasy football leagues are getting set, giant televisions are being borrowed from Rent-A-Centers and Aaron’s across the nation, and Twitter trash talk is ramping up to mid-season proportions. Derek Carr and Ben Roethlisberger are blocking everyone in sight, the Los Angeles Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the champions of August, and in less than four days, a real football game is being played

To help fans get ready for this Thursday’s kickoff between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans, we are breaking down five important stats that fans need to know about the Kansas City Chiefs before the 2020 season.

Honorable Mention: 7 Touchdowns

The Houston Texans allowed Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs offense to score 7 touchdowns, unanswered, when they last came to Arrowhead in the divisional round of the 2019 playoffs. They ended up losing 51 to 31, despite being up on the Chiefs 24 to zero early in the first half.

Not a very important stat, but one I just like to remember from time to time in my reflections on the Chiefs’ road to the Super Bowl.
