12. Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow is another guy that I really struggled with where to put on this list. At one point or another, I had him both a couple of spots higher and lower on the list. Ultimately, I felt that 12 was a nice compromise given his high upside but completely unproven track record. Burrow completely demolished college football last season, throwing for 5,671 yards, 60 touchdowns with only 6 interceptions, 76.3% completions, and 10.8 yards per attempt. He also has the type of confidence and leadership tailor-made for the NFL.

That having been said, the NFL has seen countless quarterbacks who were amazing in college and flopped in the pros and Burrow is going to try to prove himself in the NFL with a shortened offseason and no preseason games to help him adjust. It’s certainly possible that Burrow could have a similar start to his career as someone like Sam Darnold, but Cincinnati does have a few more weapons for Burrow and there is almost no pressure on him to win this season. That should allow him to play loose and make the most of his opportunity. If he does, he certainly has a chance to skyrocket up the list of AFC quarterbacks next season.
