Week 2: Baltimore Ravens @ Houston Texans

The first three weeks of the season are going to be excellent when it comes to showing off the future of the AFC. Week 1 brings Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, while Week 3 features Mahomes and the Chiefs visiting Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. But it is the matchup in between in Week 2, the one that features Jackson and the Ravens visiting Watson and the Texans, that really demands the attention of Chiefs Kingdom.

Not only does this matchup happen just eight days before the Chiefs matchup with the Ravens, but it will also lend further insight into teams the Chiefs will likely face in the playoffs. With the playoff seeding making the number 1 seed so much more valuable, every single game matters, even the games you do no have control over. This game could be a tiebreaker in the playoff seeding, whether it is head to head between Baltimore and Houston, or a tiebreaker from common opponents for one of them and the Chiefs.

The Chiefs need to keep an eye on both of these teams throughout the season to see how the 2020 playoffs shape up.
