Chiefs 2020 schedule: The 5 easiest games for Kansas City
By Byron Smith
Week 16: Vs Atlanta
The Week 17 contest against the Chargers almost took this spot, but then the Atlanta Falcons’ schedule was released.
This game is sandwiched between Atlanta’s first game against Brady and the Bucs in Week 15 and their second divisional game against Brady in Week 17. There is no worse stretch of scheduling in the NFL than this stretch for the Atlanta Falcons. They face the GOAT, who is electric later in the season, then the Super Bowl champs, and then the GOAT again. That’s brutal.
All of this would be tough for any team, but we’ve not yet mentioned the many shortcomings of the Atlanta Falcons, like their run game and secondary. The Falcons’ annual long list of injuries is also an issue that could be at its worst at the end of the season. Maybe Julio Jones and Matt Ryan are clicking at this point in the season, but Atlanta has been stuck below .500 since 2017.
After playing 4 of the previous 5 games on the road, the Chiefs will be returning home to finish the season. Hopefully, they will stay there until they have to travel to Tampa Bay in February.
