Week 8: Vs. New York Jets

The AFC East is the easiest division in the National Football League, no matter what New England Patriots fans will tell you. That was true even before Tom Brady left the division.

The Jets have been one of the worst teams in the NFL for a long time, and they have not made enough changes this offseason to think 2020 will be any different. Sam Darnold is not developing like he was projected to, and that has something to do with his head coach Adam Gase. Le’Veon Bell has made his frustrations with the franchise clear, as has Jamal Adams, who has requested a trade publicly multiple times.

A team this dysfunctional does not beat the defending Super Bowl champions, especially at their home stadium. Knowing that Darnold does not do well against defenses that utilize quite a bit of shifting and disguising before the snap, betting against Steve Spagnoulo’s schemes would be ill-advised.
