The five toughest games on the KC Chiefs 2020 schedule
3. @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Week 12
The Chiefs will be heading down to Tompa Bay where they will face the Tampa Brady Buccaneers in Week 12. (These puns doing anything for you?) I will be the first to admit I think the hype surrounding the Bucs is getting out of control. A 43-year-old quarterback with a WWE guy as his tight end in his first-year out of Bill Belichick’s system could be a recipe for disaster.
Then you look at the overall roster and realize if Winston wasn’t giving gifts to the other team like each Sunday was Christmas last year, this team may have made the playoffs. Tom Brady will take care of the ball and he still has a plethora of playmakers to work with—way more than in New England. Yes, he lost Belichick but he added Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, O.J. Howard, Cameron Brate, Tyler Johnson, and Ke’Shawn Vaughn.
While the offensive line may not be as good as the one he had in New England, the addition of Tristan Wirfs is an immediate improvement. The defense is nothing to sneeze at either with talent getting pressure on the quarterback with guys including Ndamukong Suh, Shaq Barrett, and Jason Pierre-Paul. Let’s not forget, Bruce Arians is an extremely good coach and one who has seemingly been ahead of the curve offensively for some time.
I don’t know how good this Bucs team will be—I have been leaning towards 9-7—but I do know they will be an interesting team to watch and they have the weapons to make this a very close game especially in Tampa Bay.
