We take a look at the worst plays of the Kansas City Chiefs 2019 season, starting with their week one matchup against the Jaguars

Analyst and fans alike expected huge things from the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2019 season and they delivered.

From the first Super Bowl appearance in 50 years to giving head coach Andy Reid his first Super Bowl ring, from the face of the franchise becoming the NFL’s best quarterback to overcoming almost insurmountable obstacles and odds, the Chiefs enjoyed a season for the ages. They are the defending champions and Kansas City has never been more excited about their beloved team.

As great as the Chiefs were, however, they made their fair share of mistakes along the way—as everyone does. Although they only lost four games, there were concerns to be found in any game—whether it be a bad play call, blown coverage, or poor blocking. If the Chiefs want to elevate to that next level next season and somehow perform even better, identifying those issues and fixing them is imperative.

In order to better see how the Chiefs can improve for the 2020 season, I went through and found the worst plays of each game of the 2019 season. Picking the worst offensive and defensive play from each week, I was able to identify exactly what went wrong, and figure out how the Chiefs could fix that mistake moving forward. Starting with week one, I will make my way through the season, and hopefully help fans and analyst alike see how the Chiefs can, and will, be better for the 2020 season.

NFL Gamepass is free through at least May, and that is how I studied and gathered all my film. I would advise readers to follow along with me, watching the plays and seeing what I’m talking about for yourself.
