ROUND FOUR

Brett Veach’s Guy: Reggie Robinson II, CB, Tulsa

I almost stole Robinson as “my guy” but I didn’t warm up to him until going back to study prospects the Chiefs have met with. Robinson reminds me of Charvarius Ward but may have a higher ceiling. The Tulsa defender impressed at the combine and already showed off his impressive size and strength on film. This seems like a good fit in Kansas City.

My Guy: Cameron Clark, OL, Charlotte

Clark is a bit of an unknown. He’s from a small school and has room to go before he should see serious minutes in a starting role. That said, the offensive lineman has undeniable strength and it looks like he could add to that with some development of this technique. The Charlotte lineman also was well respected by his teammates and was a team captain, showing the character that the Chiefs look for in prospects.

The Fan Favorite: Gabriel Davis, WR, UCF

Davis is as unrefined as you will find as a route runner, but that didn’t stop him from producing big play after big play for UFC. Gabriel Davis is in a similar mold to current Chief wideout Demarcus Robinson and could slide in and, hopefully with development, become a more complete receiver than Robinson. Davis is a high reward pick here, and his skills tracking the deep ball would add another element for defenses to worry about.

Everyone Else:

Jason Strowbridge, DE, North Carolina

Nick Coe, DE, Auburn

Anthony McFarland, RB, Maryland

Keep an eye on Strowbridge. He fits what Steve Spagnuolo wants in a defensive end. Nick Coe profiles well on paper and has flashes of dominance at Auburn, but never put it all together and looks like a sunk cost. McFarland is explosive and fun to watch, but not a consistent every-down back. That wouldn’t stop him from slotting into the Chiefs offense nicely though.
