29. Tennessee Titans – Jeff Gladney, CB, TCU

Analysis by Arrowhead Addict contributor Scott Loring

The Titans’ biggest need entering this draft is at corner, and head coach Mike Vrabel is thrilled to add the 5’10” 190-lb. Gladney to his roster. A solid man cover corner and surefire tackler, Gladney displayed elite ball skills at TCU, racking up a remarkable 26 pass deflections in his last two seasons. While you’d like to see more than just three interceptions on that stat sheet, the playmaking skills are there. As stated earlier, Gladney is not afraid to stick his nose in the running game, either. He’ll wrap up on anybody, regardless of size differential, and has a relentless motor.

It remains to be seen what happens with the Titans’ free agent corner Logan Ryan, but whether he returns to Tennessee or not, the team just needs bodies there. Losing Tramaine Brock and LeShaun Sims sorely hurt Vrabel’s depth on the boundary, and though the AFC South has little to boast in the WR department, the Titans still need to find capable corners who can defend outside if they expect to reprise their 2019 playoff run.

After losing star defensive lineman Jurrell Casey and starting right tackle Jack Conklin this offseason, there is a consideration to add a big man up front, but with Gladney still on the board, the Titans pounce. (Scott Loring)
