11. New York Jets – CeeDee Lamb, WR, OU

Analysis by Arrowhead Addict contributor Jalon Dodson

The Jets have a solid team as they prepare to surround quarterback Sam Darnold with weapons. CeeDee Lamb, a 6’2, 195 lb. receiver would be the perfect fit for the young gunslinger.

With Tom Brady’s official exit from New England, the pecking order in the AFC East is up for complete reorganization. Sam Darnold made marked improvements in his sophomore season, from completion percentage to interception rate to a better deep ball, and it’s hard to remember that he was only 22 years old during the 2019 campaign. Unfortunately the Jets were ranked 31st in the NFL in offense, which means adding a No. 1 wideout like Lamb is the ideal choice here.

Lamb’s eye-popping stats at Oklahoma (33 touchdowns on 183 touches and a 21.4 yards/catch average last season) show what an impressive specimen he is on game day. The cupboard at wideout is pretty bare, even before Robby Anderson left in free agency, which means the need here is real—although there’s hope for Brett Perriman’s signing, too. Lamb has real potential to become a household name in such a large market if Darnold and head coach Adam Gase can get the offense flowing.  (Jalon Dodson)
