Former Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Kyle Turley is in trouble with the Food and Drug Administration for making false claims on health products.

According to Kyle Turley’s own story on the website for his product Neuro XPF, the former Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle estimates he endured over 100 concussions in the course of his 10-year NFL career.

Turley has suffered from a number of disturbing symptoms related to a diagnosis of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), but these days he’s also claiming victory over issued that plagued him in recent years like memory loss and vertigo and even “pharmaceutical addiction, violent thoughts, and suicidal tendencies.”

Now he says he’s much better thanks to the use of medical marijuana. Given legal constraints, Turley is an obvious part of the team behind Neuro XPF, a company that provides “CBD for athletes.” In recent days, Turley’s company has taken the message even further by saying that Neuro XPF can help fight COVID-19.

The Food & Drug Administration, however, is chasing after Turley for these claims and recently sent his company a warning for Turley to change his messaging. “We request that you take immediate action to cease the sale of such unapproved and unauthorized products for the mitigation, prevention, treatment, diagnosis, or cure of COVID-19.”

Turley was using the phrase “Crush Corona” while trying to sell his products, but the FDA countered that these “unapproved” products are misleading.

Turley played a total of eight years in the NFL while missing two complete seasons in the midst of it due to injury and rehabilitation. He was an All-Pro offensive tackle for the New Orleans Saints, but he finished his career with an injury-riddled two-year stint with the Chiefs. Turley retired from the NFL with the Chiefs in 2007.
