Robert Hunt – Louisiana Lafayette – 6’5″ – 322 pounds

I really love Robert Hunt of Louisiana Lafayette as a guard prospect in this class. Hunt played right tackle in college and probably could survive there in the NFL if needed, but I believe he has the ability to be a Pro Bowl-caliber guard. Hunt has a huge frame but plays much lighter on his feet than most of the power guard prospects in this class. He moves well enough and gets to the second level enough that I believe the Chiefs would absolutely consider him.

With maybe the exception of a healthy Muti, I believe Hunt has the best power upside of any interior line prospect that has enough athleticism and movement skills in order for the Chiefs to consider them. While he isn’t a mover like Nick Harris, I believe he is athletic enough to get to the second level and pull consistently to be a force for the Chiefs. He would also bring some much needed power to the interior of their line.

Here’s a nice pancake from Hunt.

The fact that I love Hunt’s power potential on the inside probably means that he’s more likely to be added to the list of interior offensive linemen that I loved that the Chiefs passed on than he is to be added to their roster. However, I really do believe that Hunt has the tools to thrive in K.C. Finally, let’s look at the top interior prospect in this draft class.
