The buzz for the 2020 NFL Draft is building. Who are the experts currently mocking to the Kansas City Chiefs? Are these players smart targets for KC?

The 2020 NFL Draft is now one month away. The latest reports are that the draft will happen when it was originally scheduled, but that it will not be hosted in Las Vegas in front of a live audience. Regardless of how and where the draft is held, it appears that we are in the final month of lead up to the NFL Draft.

Since the Kansas City Chiefs have limited cap space to make big time moves in free agency, the NFL Draft becomes all the more essential for the Chiefs to add talent to their roster for next season.

While teams can hit on future stars in any round of the draft, a team’s first round pick is their best shot at premium talent. That is why there is so much focus put on those picks. It’s also why fans enjoy reading mock drafts this time of year. They want to see where they think the top prospects are going and who the experts think their favorite team is going to select.

We have now entered the prime mock draft time of the year. The combine is behind us. The biggest names in free agency have been signed. The current crop of mock drafts represent the most educated guesses that the experts can have leading into the draft. So I set out to find mock drafts from different experts on different sites to see who they are predicting the Chiefs might take.

In the rest of this piece, I’ll profile the players mocked to the Chiefs in 10 different mock drafts that I found that came out this month. I’ll list other players that were also available and give my personal opinion on if I like the pick or not. Let’s start with a pick at a position that isn’t at the top of my list of needs for the first round pick.
