KEVIN PIERRE-LOUIS

Speaking of Washington, new head coach Ron Rivera is in the midst of remaking the roster to his liking and a bit part in that meant importing a versatile linebacker in Kevin Pierre-Louis. KPL is a strong asset on special teams but he’s able to step in when needed in an instant as a linebacker on passing downs. Pierre-Louis played for the Chiefs for a single year in 2017 after coming over from Seattle in the D.J. Alexander trade.

PHILLIP GAINES

The Houston Texans were able to add some cornerback depth this offseason on the cheap with the addition of former Chiefs draft pick Phillip Gaines. The Rice product got a one-year deal for just over $1 million to play for Bill O’Brien‘s defense.

NICK WILLIAMS

It’s taken Nick Williams a while to develop into a solid contributor at the pro level, but he can certainly credit his three seasons learning in Kansas City (2014-16) as a major part of that learning curve. These days, he’s enjoying the spoils of his hard work after signing a two-year deal worth $10 million with the Detroit Lions—an impressive rise and a testament to his work ethic and talent.
