Dez Bryant – Least Expensive

Dez Bryant needs no introduction. He was an absolute star for the Dallas Cowboys for a number of years. Things soured near the end of his career but there was no doubt he was an athletic, big-bodied wide receiver who could separate in press man and command a defense’s attention as the number-one target.

Given his age and his most recent injury, an Achilles tear late in the season with the New Orleans Saints, he’s obviously not the same player he used to be. He’s more of a supporting actor than the star at this point, but luckily that’s all the team needs.

With Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce as the primary targets, and a second offseason under Mecole Hardman’s belt, he could easily come in as the third or even fourth option in three-receiver sets. As a veteran, he not only would contribute offensively but in the wide receiver room as well.

The best part about Dez Bryant is, as an aging veteran who’s made a lot of money, he’s a prime candidate to take a paycut for wins. He’s expressed as much in the past, saying he’s in this for the championships. He’d likely be the cheapest option the team could sign, and from his workout with Patrick Mahomes recently it the looks of it still has some juice left in those legs.
