Bryce Hall, CB

They say:

"Kansas City could go in a number of directions, with the offensive line and cornerback weighing most heavily. Center Tyler Biadasz or Hall could make for a nice addition to the squad."

We say:

Given that Charvarius Ward and second-year sixth round pick Rashad Fenton are the only experienced corners guaranteed to return, it almost feels like a certainty that the Chiefs will take a corner early in the draft—either a first or second round pick. Then again, Chiefs Kingdom thought the same thing last year and the Chiefs didn’t even make a move in the secondary, at least in the draft, until late on Day 3.

This year, the Chiefs could take it easier than expected if they sign a decent veteran (think Prince Amukamara), but Hall would make for a nice fit in K.C.’s draft class to be sure. A high draft investment would give the team more security, depth, and a higher overall ceiling for the short and long term.

That said, Hall has been often described as a Day 2 prospect with other cornerbacks listed above him. Could Hall be a better value pick at the end of the second round? If the Chiefs board likes him at this position, it’s hard to argue with Brett Veach.
