Chiefs projected to take Zack Baun, Bryce Hall in latest mock drafts

Another pre-draft week in the books brings another round of mock drafts and the Chiefs are linked with various defenders in the first.

The latest round of mock drafts are out from NFL pundits at print and digital outlets alike, and there’s a wide array of prospects linked with the Kansas City Chiefs at the very bottom of the first round.

The Chiefs pick at No. 32 overall, a space seemingly reserved for the New England Patriots each season, given their recent Super Bowl win. While each round of the draft will feel longer than normal, everyone in Chiefs Kingdom will be just fine with the extra wait time in exchange for the franchise’s first Lombardi in 50 years.

The latest mock drafts have the Chiefs linked with mostly defenders at the bottom of the first round as the team continues to develop its defense in Steve Spagnuolo’s second year. It’s a scary proposition that the Chiefs can already win a championship with a defense that will only continue to grow together with further experience and chemistry. The Chiefs also need to draft for the scheme.
