Tight End

Players currently under contract:
Travis Kelce
Nick Keizer
John Lovett
Alize Mack

Need for a starter: 1
Need for depth: 10

This one is just as straight forward as quarterback was. Travis Kelce is an All Pro tight end. Behind Kelce are three guys that should be competing for the third tight end spot at best. So there is no need to sign a true number one tight end, but there is absolutely an essential need for a tight end or two behind Kelce.

The Chiefs could look to re-sign Blake Bell, Deon Yelder, or both to help with depth or they could look to upgrade the #2 tight end spot with either a draft pick or a more proven veteran option. Some fans may argue that the #2 tight end spot should be considered a starting position because of regular two tight end sets, but Andy Reid has historically featured one primary tight end as a part of his passing game. So look for the Chiefs to fill this hole with more of a blocking/backup caliber guy or a developmental guy.

Next up, the offensive line.
