The Must Have List

Brett Veach did a great job of building a Super Bowl winning roster last season. He definitely has some work to do to get the roster in a position to do it again next year. After looking at the players the Chiefs currently have under contract here’s where I believe we are at.

There are two positions that I believe the Chiefs 100% have to sign (10 rating) a starter at this offseason.

  1. Cornerback
  2. Linebacker

There are two more where I strongly believe (8 or 9 rating) that they need to add a starter.

  1. Interior Offensive Line
  2. Defensive Tackle

There are four positions that I believe they 100% have to sing (10 rating) some depth at the position.

  1. #2 Quarterback
  2. #2 Tight End
  3. Defensive Tackle
  4. Cornerback

Thosee are the places I believe are the top priority for the Chiefs as they enter free agency and the draft. Obviously, those lists will change if they release more players to clear up cap space, but that is where I believe they stand today. So what do you think Chiefs fans? Do you agree with my lists? Do you think I have over sold the need at some positions or under valued the need at others? I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments below.
