The Tennessee Titans earned a couple Pro Bowl spots after the team’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday with the additions of Tannehill and Casey.

Two late additions to the AFC roster for the upcoming 2020 Pro Bowl have been made as members of the Kansas City Chiefs must pull away from the NFL’s version of an All-Star exhibition. After all, they have a Super Bowl to focus upon.

Instead of sending quarterback Patrick Mahomes and defensive lineman Chris Jones to Orlando, Florida this weekend to play at Camping World Stadium, the Tennessee Titans are making up the difference with the announcement of quarterback Ryan Tannehill and lineman Jurrell Casey as their substitutes.

Tannehill will be making his first-ever appearance in a Pro Bowl and it’s a well-deserved honor even if he only played XXXX games for the Titans. After head coach Mike Vrabel made the decision to sit Marcus Mariota, the team’s long-time starter, Tannehill entered the picture and took over in a way no one could have envisioned after the team brought him over from the Miami Dolphins.

In only 10 starts, Tannehill helped the Titans win 7 of those games by completing 70.3 percent of this passes and throwing for 22 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions. Tannehill also led the NFL in averaging an incredible 13.6 yards per completion and a passer rating of 117.5.

As for Casey, he will be making his fifth Pro Bowl appearance after a season in which he had 44 total tackles, 5 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries. In fact, Casey hasn’t missed a Pro Bowl since after the 2014 season. He’s been with the Titans for his entire 9-year career.
