There are still two conference championships left to be played, but the Kansas City Chiefs are now the Super Bowl favorites at this point in the postseason.

The Divisional Round games have been played and only four teams remain. Of those four NFL franchises, the Kansas City Chiefs have been named the favorites to win the Super Bowl.

According to OddsShark, the Chiefs are the odds-on favorites to hoist the Lombardi Trophy now that teams like the Baltimore Ravens have been eliminated from the picture. The rest of the others come in just after with the San Francisco 49ers and then farther out still are the Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Titans.

What’s surprising is that the Chiefs were the No. 2 seed in the AFC but they are considered to be a tougher team than either top two franchise in the NFC. The 49ers are given nice odds to win it all as well as the obvious favorites from that conference, but the Packers, who already beat the Chiefs and won 13 games in the regular season (one more than K.C.) might as well be considered longshots.

As for the Titans, it’s understandable why they odds are still long on them, despite their recent wins, as the No. 6 seed and a team who didn’t even know they would make the postseason until the final week.

The Chiefs now face the Titans in the AFC Championship game. If they are fortunate enough to win, they will likely still be favored heading into the big game. It’s a new position for a team who hasn’t played in a Super Bowl in five decades, but this is a new era of Chiefs football and bettors seem to realize that as much as anyone.
