20. RG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif

Having been drafted in the NFL and CFL in 2014, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif chose the NFL. The Chiefs benefitted from that decision as Duvernay-Tardif has spent his entire six-year career in Kansas City.

Duvernay-Tardif is one of the more underrated guards in the NFL today. He has given up just 9.5 sacks in the 59 games he has appeared in, according to Stats. He’s also averaging fewer than four penalties per year, making him one of the more reliable offensive linemen on the Chiefs have had this decade.

19. C Casey Wiegmann

Although it was only two years, Casey Wiegmann made the most of his second stint with the Chiefs. Wiegmann became a free agent and returned to Kansas City in 2010. Wiegmann was part of an offensive line that helped the Chiefs rank first in rushing yards during his first season back with the Chiefs.

After retiring in 2011, Wiegmann finished his career with more than 10,000 consecutive snaps.

18. K Harrison Butker

Despite not playing every game during his rookie season in 2017, Harrison Butker broke the NFL rookie record and Chiefs franchise record for most field goals in a single-season with 38. His 38 field goals were the second most that year. Butker currently leads the NFL with 33 field goals made.

In the 106 field goals he has attempted, he has connected on 89 percent of them, the highest percentage in Chiefs history. Butker is already fourth in team history in field goals made and is five away from 100 field goals made in his career, all coming in Kansas City.

17. LG/RG/C Ryan Lilja

When the Chiefs led the NFL in rushing yards in 2010, a big part of that was due to Ryan Lilja, who signed with the Chiefs as a free agent that offseason.

With the release of Brian Waters in 2011 and the retirement of Casey Wiegmann before 2012, Lilja, who played high school and college football in the state of Kansas, played a different position in each of the three seasons he spent with the Chiefs. Lilja is another underrated offensive lineman in Kansas City who was consistently good and available for the team.

16. FB Anthony Sherman

The Chiefs have had a lot of elite fullbacks in the past, and Anthony Sherman is a part of that list. Sherman joined the team in 2013 and has been a viable asset every time.

As one of the best fullbacks in the league, and serving as a stout run-blocker, Sherman has helped pave the way for running backs in Kansas City, which include Jamaal Charles and Kareem Hunt. Sherman has also been a reliable veteran on special teams as well.
