ROAD OPPONENTS FOR 2020

Baltimore Ravens

The potential playoff battle looming between the Chiefs and Ravens will make this one interesting. So far, the Chiefs are 2-0 against Jackson as a starting quarterback and the game earlier this year wasn’t nearly as close as the final score would lead someone to believe. However, Jackson and the Ravens look better than any team in football now and have put together a tremendous run.

Next year, the Ravens will have a more seasoned Jackson at the helm and they’ll be away from the friendly confines of Arrowhead Stadium. This might be the toughest single matchup on the schedule for 2020. Expect a serious primetime matchup.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills have made more noise than anyone could have expected coming into this season and they should be even better next year if they can surround Josh Allen with some real talent at the skill positions (e.g. this deep WR class should come in handy for a team making waves with John Brown and Cole Beasley).

The defense should be a stout front to face on the road for the Chiefs, but it’s a bit hard for me to picture Allen besting Mahomes in any game at this point, even if it is a bit in the future and on the road.

Denver Broncos

I’d mention something about the challenges of playing at Mile High, but let’s be honest, Andy Reid hasn’t had any challenge playing there whatsoever.

Las Vegas Raiders

As long as Derek Carr is in place, it’s hard to imagine the Chiefs losing Jon Gruden and company. That said, the Chiefs and the rest of the NFL will get their first look at a brand new stadium in Las Vegas, which should be good fun to check it out.
