Patrick Mahomes, Quarterback

Despite missing two-and-a-half games, reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Patrick Mahomes shuold return to the Pro Bowl for his second consecutive appearance. Despite his absence, he has still thrown for over 2,600 yards, 18 touchdowns (and only 1 interception). He’s on pace for over 30 TDs and over 4,000 yards again.

His 68 touchdowns through his first 25 starts rank as the highest total in NFL history over that span. And again, despite his absence, he still ranks 6th in the NFL in yards and 3rd in touchdowns across the NFL. Mahomes also leads the league in more objective (by game) stats: ranking first in yards per game and yards per completion across the entire league.

Given six more starts, Mahomes will not only be assured a Pro Bowl selection, but he should also work his way back in to the MVP conversation.
