The NFL announced that Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Daniel Jones were all nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week.

The official nominees are out for the FedEx Air and Ground Players of the Week for Week 10 in the NFL and Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs is one of three quarterbacks nominated for the Air category after putting up incredible numbers in a losing effort against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Other nominees for the Air award included New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Mahomes has been nominated and won the category in both Week 2 and Week 3 already this year, while Jackson walked away with the honors in Week 1. Most recently, Russ Wilson won for his heroics in Week 9.

Mahomes had an impressive 446 passing yards and 3 touchdowns with no interceptions against the Titans on Sunday afternoon. The performance was clouded however by a complete meltdown on defense and special teams that allowed the Titans to stay in the game and ultimately win by blocking a potential game-winning field goal from Harrison Butker at the last seconds ticked off the clock.

Jackson put up monster numbers in a smothering of the Cincinnati Bengals and Jones threw for four touchdowns for the Giants against the New York jets.

For Mahomes, it was his first game back from injury after missing two games with a dislocated kneecap. The Chiefs were fortunate that Mahomes was able to come back as quickly as he did, and his performance under center showed the difference he provides, even in a losing effort.

After fan votes are tabulated, the winners of the various FedEx awards will be announced later this week.

Mahomes has 18 touchdown passes, 1 interception and a 66.3 percent completion rate so far this year for the Chiefs. He’s thrown for 2,626 passing yards through 8 starts.
