LEONARD WILLIAMS, Defensive Line

Brandon Scherff is the biggest name on this list, but New York Jets defenisve end Leonard Williams is definitely well known. Williams was a top 6 selection in the 2015 NFL Draft and was expected to be a disruptive defensive force. Early flashes suggested that would be the case, but the Jets defensive lineman has been inconsistent in the corresponding years. Additionally, the Jets have not been able to work out a long-term deal.

This would be an interesting move for K.C., especially with Chris Jones still needing a contract. At worst, it could be a one year rental that helps solidify the middle of the defense. Optimistically. Williams could be leverage to help get a deal done with Jones, and insurance in case it doesn’t.

Similar to Scherff, Williams would likely fetch a Day 2 pick and some change in a trade.
