After two weeks of his absence, the Kansas City Chiefs continue to have good news when it comes to Tyreek Hill. So what new information came along this week during media availability.

After suffering an injury in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill has remained inactive through two weeks, but the trend of good news and positive updates continues for the team’s three-time Pro Bowler.

During media availability on Monday, head coach Andy Reid gave an update on Hill’s injury. Reid seemed very optimistic when saying, “He’s doing good. He’s hard to hold down.” Reid even went on to say he was “wired different” and that Hill is “bouncing around and wants to go.”

Reid did seem hesitant to make an early judgement call as he followed up that update with, “But this one here, you know, the doctors really gotta keep checking on him. But we’ll see how the time frame goes.” This comes after Hill has been reported multiple times over the last week to be without a sling, including a plethora of pictures from Sunday’s game at Arrowhead. One report even had Hill dribbling a basketball around the locker room.

It’s worth noting that the timeframe for Hill’s return has already decreased multiple times. Initially it looked to be an eight-week injury, but after further evaluation, Chiefs trainers put his timetable at about 4-6 weeks. From there, Hill was listed as “week-to-week,” which makes Big Red’s update on Hill’s health encouraging for fans who are awaiting the Cheetah’s return.

Hill has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons in the NFL and set a franchise record for most receiving yards in a single season for the Chiefs in 2018 with 1,479. Hill has only 2 catches for 16 yards on the year after being injured so early against the Jags.
