Chiefs vs. Ravens: LeSean McCoy, Mark Andrews are both active
By Matt Conner
Both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens received good news regarding an injured key offensive player before Sunday’s game.
The Kansas City Chiefs were already thin in the backfield with the word that Damien Williams was ruled out for Sunday afternoon’s home game against the visiting Baltimore Ravens. They were also facing the potential of not having LeSean McCoy available either. Fortunately, despite dealing with an ankle injury, McCoy has been ruled active for the game.
McCoy was trending in a positive direction all week in practice, but it was still unclear whether he would be able to suit up and play at full strength for the Chiefs. The team certainly doesn’t want to risk further injury by putting him out there on the field too early, but it looks as if things are good to go for McCoy and the Chiefs. Darwin Thompson will likely earn additional reps in place of Williams.
As for the Ravens, they also got a bit of good news as they have tight end Mark Andrews active for the game as well. Early reports said he was “50-50” as to whether or not he would play after being limited in practice with a foot injury.
McCoy’s decision is an interesting one. Check out the fact that he was limping coming into Arrowhead in the first place:
For the Ravens, the following players are inactive:
