Here’s everything you need to know to catch up on and watch Thursday night’s game between the Chief and the Packers.
On Thursday, the Kansas City Chiefs will take the field against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in what will be the final exhibition to showcase their skills for just over 3 dozen players per team—74 players in all.
Roster cuts are due this coming weekend which means it’s going to be a frenzy on the league’s transaction wire as teams reduce their rosters from 90 (the offseason allowed amount) to 53 (the regular season allowed amount). While starting players will mostly sit on Thursday, there’s still plenty for teams to decide in this final preseason tilt.
For the Chiefs, it will be interesting to see how young developmental quarterbacks like Chase Litton and Kyle Shurmur perform with extended time. Young players on the cusp of the roster will have the chance to firm up their roles or lose out with a rough night.
