The Oakland Raiders

Projected running backs: Josh Jacobs, DeAndre Washington, Jalen Richard

The Raiders have question marks on both sides of the ball. While the defense is a bigger question, the rushing offense will be interesting to watch. The team has an interesting balance and appears to be looking for some kind of offensive identity. Among their projected running backs, you will find very different playing styles.

Josh Jacobs is the guy that the Raiders have their eye on. The first-round pick has Raiders fans excited. With a playing style similar to Clinton Portis or Adrian Peterson, there is a good reason for optimism. Jacobs will likely be the starter week one and garner most of the carries throughout the season.

As the number two guy, DeAndre Washington is a player to watch. With very good speed, he could break out this season. The Raiders also love Jalen Richard’s ability as the scatback. He is quick and very good in space, and with 68 catches last season, he’s obviously a go-to for Derek Carr in the passing game.

Projected stats:

Josh Jacobs: 221 carries, 4.6 avg, 1,017 rushing yards, 5 TDs. 35 receptions, 272 receiving yards, 3 TDs

DeAndre Washington: 42 carries, 4.2 avg 177 rushing yards, 2 TDs. 10 receptions, 71 receiving yards, 0 TDs.

Jalen Richard: 28 carries, 5.1 avg, 143 rushing yards, 0 TDs. 42 receptions, 345 receiving yards, 4 TDs
