This Saturday, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will hang with fans while helping to celebrate the Seresto Stage opening at Bar K.

Kansas City Chiefs fans will have a great opportunity to hang with one of the team’s biggest stars on Saturday when Travis Kelce makes himself (and his dogs) available at Bar K, a inventive bar and restaurant that’s pet-friendly with an attached two-acre dog park.

Bar K will be celebrating the grand opening of the Seresto Stage, complete with live music performances, educational seminars, and plenty of games and good times for everyone. Kelce himself says he will bring both of his own dogs and will be participating in the touchdown dance competition along with plenty of other festivities.

We’ll have our full interview with Kelce tomorrow on Arrowhead Addict, where he talks about his own room for improvement, the loss of Eric Berry and the inspiration of Eric Bieniemy. Today, however, we’ll feature our part of the conversation about Saturday’s event and how you can plan to take part.

AA: You’re going to be at Bar K on Saturday. Does that mean you have dogs of your own?

Travis Kelce: I’ve got two dogs: one named Rambo, which is a baby goldendoodle, who is not even one year old yet and then I’ve got a pomsky, a pomeranian-husky mix, that will be two years old in July named Chauncey.

AA: Did you grow up with pets?

Travis: My mom let us get cats when we were real little. Being cats in the suburbs, some of them ran away but they weren’t housecats. Our main kitten was Flash. We were huge on the comic book and the character Flash and the cat was faster than anything I’d seen at that age, so we named it Flash. Then when I turned four or five, we got our first dog and that’s when I really got into pets. We named her Belle after our favorite baseball player, Albert Belle of the Cleveland Indians.

AA: What are you most excited about in terms of Saturday’s festivities?

Travis: This is going to be an unbelievably fun event. I’ve heard so many great things about Bar K, and I’m excited to get the dogs over there for some action. We’ll have some fun things planned for everyone in attendance. Also Seresto is doing such a great job of not only taking care of dogs nationwide but also presenting opportunities like this where people can come together and spend unique time with people and their beloved animals.

The touchdown dance celebration contest will be pretty entertaining. But just getting out and meeting people and letting the dogs meet others. That will be the most fun, being out in the community and getting to meet some unfamiliar faces and have a good time.
