Following the 2019 NFL Draft, several new players at key positions will be joining the Chiefs. What current players are in danger of losing their spot?

Speculation season has had its time, and now the 2019 NFL Draft is finally upon us. Over the next three days, 256 players will have their names called and their immediate futures decided. It will be a weekend of dreams achieved and rosters strengthened. It’s one of the most fun events of the NFL offseason.

Throughout the offseason, speculation around what the Kansas City Chiefs will do in the NFL Draft has run rampant. They were on the doorstep of the Super Bowl in 2018—only a neutral zone infraction away. It seems logical that they only need an additional piece or two to seal the deal and bring home the team’s first Lombardi Trophy in 50 years.

After trading away their first round pick for Seattle Seahawks defensive end Frank Clark, the Chiefs have a total of seven picks in the draft. Of those seven picks, they have three picks in the first 100 picks overall. This gives them plenty of chances to strike gold for 2019.

Generally speaking, these are typically picks teams hope will translate to heavy rotational players or even starters in their rookie year. So, with this in mind, what current Chiefs are at risk of being overtaken by one of these rookies?
