Quarterback. Drew Lock. 6. player. 31. Pick Analysis. Missouri. Scouting Report

New York Giants

The Giants have expressed interest in the “Kansas City way.” Which means developing a rookie quarterback behind a veteran for one season. This pick is simple: Drew Lock has the highest upside of any quarterback in the draft. Lock has good arm talent and shows flashes of brilliance. With a year of development and working on mechanics, this pick could be a huge payoff for the Giants.

Ole Miss. DK Metcalf. 7. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. player. 52

Jacksonville Jaguars

For many, DK Metcalf is somewhat polarizing. While his size, speed and strength is incredible, his change of direction is not so great. Even though he has an injury history, Metcalf would make the most sense for the Jaguars who will do their best to support Nick Foles in their offense. Metcalf can catch well in traffic and blocks well in the running game. Jacksonville may want to move out of this spot to take a different offensive playmaker.

player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 8. 50. EDGE. Florida State. Brian Burns

Detroit Lions

Even with the addition of Trey Flowers this offseason, the Lions are going to need to improve the defense further. Brian Burns is one of the best overall defenders in the draft and I think that would be difficult for Matt Patricia and the Lions to pass up. While the top linebackers are on the board and could be in consideration, Burns is definitely the best player on the board.

player. 56. Quarterback. Duke. Daniel Jones. 9. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Cincinnati Bengals (TRADE UP from Buffalo Bills)

A few spots could mean everything in this year’s NFL Draft. While the Broncos may be in the mix for a quarterback at pick 10, the Bengals cannot afford to miss out on their guy at pick 11. Moving up for Daniel Jones may not be a great idea, but Jones has the highest floor of any quarterback in this year’s class and has been climbing draft boards. Due to the nature of the postition, every quarterback will be drafted too early, but the Bengals are in the mix for one of the quarterbacks in the class.

Scouting Report. Devin White. 45. Pick Analysis. Linebacker. LSU. 10. player

Denver Broncos

After missing out on Drew Lock and Daniel Jones, the Broncos find themselves out of “Elway-type” quarterbacks; However, they have a need at linebacker and Devin White is the best linebacker in this class. While Broncos fans may groan at a pick like this, it may make the most sense for a team that will have to deal with playmakers such as Antonio Brown, Melvin Gordon and Travis Kelce twice a year.
