Kansas City Chiefs 2019 preseason schedule: Steelers, Packers among opponents
By Matt Conner
The Kansas City Chiefs now know their preseason opponents and general schedule as the NFL revealed the preseason slates for each team on Tuesday.
The National Football League is going to have to wait until the regular season in order to get any primetime looks at Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The league revealed the full schedule of preseason games, and Andy Reid’s team is not featured on television in any single week despite being a Super Bowl contender with the reigning Most Valuable Player.
The Chiefs learned their preseason schedule on Tuesday with the news that they would face off against the Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, and Green Bay Packers during the month of August. The Bengals and Niners will be the teams visiting Arrowhead Stadium, during the first and third weeks of the preseason, so fans should look forward to those contests. It’s possible the Bengals will have a new rookie quarterback in place instead of Andy Dalton by then, and Jimmy Garoppolo should be back in the saddle for the 49ers after injuring himself against the Chiefs last season.
Official times have not yet been set, but the week-by-week schedule has at least been made available. You can see the entire 65-game slate here as well as the primetime offerings.
