16. player. Cornerback. Washington. Byron Murphy. 87. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Carolina Panthers

Carolina has some questions on both sides of the ball. In fact, I would say they have as many questions as anyone. While the offense struggled mightily last season, this is a very talented defensive class. With a team that has questions at cornerback, you cannot afford to pass up Byron Murphy. Murphy has great ball skills and is probably the best overall cornerback in the draft class. At pick 16, you simply can’t pass that up.

Safety. Florida. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 17. player. 31

New York Giants

After losing Landon Collins in free agency, the Giants will undoubtedly be looking for someone who has versatility in the defensive backfield. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson is a very talented playmaker. He seems to be everywhere and that is something the Giants will need as they build for the future. While I believe this pick makes a lot of sense, I think that there is a very good chance that the Giants look for pass-rush or receivers at this pick as well.

Cody Ford. 18. Scouting Report. Offensive Lineman. player. 60. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma

Minnesota Vikings

This is simple. The Minnesota Vikings need offensive line help in any way that they can get it. Cody Ford is good enough to be off the board much earlier, so for him to fall to Minnesota would be great for the Vikings. Ford packs a punch and gives very good versatility and I think that is valuable to a team like the Vikings.

Pick Analysis. 35. Notre Dame. Jerry Tillery. 19. player. Scouting Report. Defensive Lineman

Tennessee Titans

Jerry Tillery is somehow still flying under the radar, but The Titans would be wise to shore up their defense with an athletic defensive tackle in Jerry Tillery. With a rare combination of strength and quickness, I believe Tillery could be an incredible talent in the NFL.

Pick Analysis. 20. player. Scouting Report. Cornerback. Georgia. DeAndre Baker. 55

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers still have a lot of work to do in the midst of a reloading offseason. After signing Steven Nelson, Pittsburgh will have to decide what side of the ball they need to address more. Ultimately, I believe that if Deandre Baker is available at 20, the Steelers will take him. He has good seems to do everything well and his floor is very high. That is the kind of player that the Steelers will need to consider. Baker would contribute immediately and make the Steelers better on defense.

Scouting Report. Tight End. Iowa. 36. 21. player. Pick Analysis. T.J. Hockensen

Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have a few holes on both sides of the ball. That being said, none of them are particularly glaring. If they want to go beyond a one dimensional offense, they may decide to add the best tight end in the draft, T.J. Hockensen. With great strength and route running, he would be a game-changer for Seattle.
