Mecole Hardman, Georgia

Georgia’s Mecole Hardman is every bit as explosive (if not more so) than the previous names on this list. However, due to his more limited use he may be able to be had later in the draft than either Parris Campbell and Andy Isabella. Hardman showed his explosiveness at the combine as well running a 4.33 forty yard dash. His highlights like the ones below also look equally impressive.

The biggest difference between Hardman and those other two are production. While Campbell and Isabella combined for 192 receptions for 2,767 yards last season Hardman totaled just 35 receptions for 543 yards. At this point he is more of a gadget weapon and return specialist than an every down player. He would definitely be more of a long term project than either of the other two (especially Isabella due to his more advanced route running). However, if Andy Reid believes he can turn Hardman into more of a dependable receiver he could be an absolute steal in the draft.

Hardman would make an excellent pick for the Chiefs should they not take a wideout with one of their first three picks. He could be used as a more explosive De’Anthony Thomas in his rookie year and then develop from there. Were Hill to miss time this season I don’t think Hardman would be an option to replace him on an every down basis but he could fill his spot as a punt returner while making an occasional big play on offense as well.

Finally, let’s look at one of the most underrated deep threats and slot receivers in this draft.
