Tashaun Gipson

One safety option would be Tashaun Gipson, a free safety just recently released by the Jaguars. Gipson has been in the NFL for seven years and started 90 out of the 98 games he’s played in his career. Over his career, he’s notched 20 interceptions and 394 tackles.

He would be a nice addition to play across from Eric Berry—or Tyrann Mathieu if the Chiefs decide to pursue multiple safeties in free agency—and would bring a veteran presence to the secondary. He would be a great addition for the Chiefs on a cheap, affordable deal.
