6. San Francisco 49ers (From NY Giants)

After trading back, the 49ers still have a shot at one of the most athletically gifted players in the draft, Josh Allen. With some talented interior defenders and defensive backs, the 49ers may look to solidify their defense with Allen’s pass-rushing skills. With great burst off the snap, Allen brings a whole new dimension to the 49ers defense.

7.New York Jets (From Jacksonville)

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Jets had interest in moving down even further. With a need for offensive weapons in a draft of defensive studs, the Jets may just choose to get the best player available. Brian Burns would fit the bill. The Jets defense may look very dangerous with Leonard Williams on one side and Brian Burns on the other. If Burns goes to the Jets, the defense could be very dangerous.

8. Detroit Lions

The Lions will be tempted with a lot of great options at #8; However, I can’t imagine that Matt Patricia would be able to resist Ed Oliver as a piece of a monster defensive front. Oliver and Damon Harrison make an incredible tandem. I believe that Oliver would be a higher pick if not for concerns about his size and adaptability to the NFL. I think the Lions would welcome him with open arms.

9. Buffalo Bills

The Bills have more rebuilding to do, but I can’t imagine that they don’t take the player that they consider to be the best receiver in the draft. Metcalf is a big and physical receiver who has very good route running ability. The Bills will want Metcalf to be a focal point of the offense going forward. With very few offensive weapons to choose from, they could have an offense-heavy draft.

10. Denver Broncos

Joe Flacco? Case Keenum? Drew Lock is far from a lock at number ten, but the Broncos will want to build for the future. While the Paxton Lynch saga fell apart at the seams, John Elway will want to show Denver fans that he wants to win now and in years to come. Lock has some good arm talent. With some work on his fundamentals and technique, the Broncos may want to make their investment now.
