Three former members of the Kansas City Chiefs were named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, including two longtime legends.

The Kansas City Chiefs had a tremendous weekend for the franchise with the news that Patrick Mahomes had won the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award and that two longtime franchise legends were both named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame‘s class of 2019.

This summer, the hallowed halls found in Canton, Ohio will welcome both legendary safety Johnny Robinson and the best tight end to ever play the game in Tony Gonzalez as Hall of Famers. Both men will be inducted along with six others voted in on Saturday—safety Ed Reed, cornerback Champ Bailey, center Kevin Mawae, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, Cowboys executive Gil Brandt, and cornerback Ty Law who also played a couple seasons for the Chiefs.

Robinson was a longtime safety for the Chiefs back when they first relocated from Dallas as the Texans. Robinson locked down the secondary with a franchise record 57 interceptions, a mark later passed by Emmitt Thomas but remains second in team history. Robinson came up big in the Chiefs only Super Bowl win with two turnovers.

Robinson was the recommendation from the Hall’s senior committee and he needed 80 percent of the votes from the current voters in order to get in.

Tony Gonzalez’s entry into the Hall is no surprise to anyone given that he’s largely considered the single best player to ever suit up as a tight end in NFL history. Gonzalez was a first-ballot option and he got in, along with Reed and Bailey, the first time due to his dominant career. He holds records for most receptions and receiving yards by a tight end ever, and was a 14-time Pro Bowl player in his years with K.C. and the Atlanta Falcons.
