RAYMOND DAVISON, LB

Raymond Davison’s is an exciting prospect. He is a very similar player to current Chiefs linebacker Dorian O’Daniel. Both are on the lighter side for a linebacker with Davison weighing in at 230 and O’Daniel coming in at 223. This weight alone would generally indicate that this player would be more of a coverage style of a linebacker, but he also has the speed to go with it. Davison ran a 4.56 40 yard dash at his pro day, which would have been in the top five at the NFL combine in 2018.

On top of this Davison showed during his time at Cal that he can play both inside and outside linebacker. He was also named one of the team’s captains in 2016, the same year that he became a full-time starter. Davison seems like the perfect developmental prospect in a league where the speed at the linebacker position has become more coveted as teams begin to realize how efficient it is to pass the ball instead of running it.
