ROBERT McCRAY, LB

The Chiefs sure love their linebackers as Robert McCray is the third one that they have signed to a future/reserves contract. He is not like the first two that we have talked about, McCray is listed at 270 pounds and spent time along the defensive line during his time at Indiana. McCray entered the league as an undrafted free agent that the Chiefs brought in early and never let leave.

Kansas City had McCray listed as an EDGE prospect during the offseason workouts, which indicates that he is a possible candidate to play outside linebacker. With the Chiefs switching to a 4-3 this season we could see McCray make a push to play as a defensive end. With Allen Bailey contract expiring at the end of the season Kansas City could decide to find his replacement in the house if McCray has shown that he has developed far enough to be at least a rotational piece.
