Kareem Hunt is expected to play again at some point in 2019 in the NFL. These teams are the likeliest destinations for the former Chiefs running back.

It’s going to take a special place to handle Kareem Hunt’s return.

The Pro Bowl running back was released by the Kansas City Chiefs in recent weeks after a video surfaced showing Hunt shoving and kicking a woman during an incident last February. TMZ obtained and released the footage that proved Hunt had lied to the team about his role in it all, even as police never officially filed any charges during the event.

As the dust has settled on Kareem Hunt’s employment changes, it has become clear that Hunt has a track record of anger issues. Three separate incidents have all come to light from the last offseason regarding Hunt, and he has come clean himself by entering into counseling and a mentoring relationship with a pastor.

Despite Hunt’s attempts to make good with the victim and rehabilitate his image, the NFL still has yet to let the hammer fall. At some point, Hunt will receive his punishment from Roger Goodell, likely a suspension to the tune of numerous games and a hefty fine. It’s possible that Hunt could get off for time already served since he’s been rendered unable to play since Week 11. However, it’s likely that Hunt will still have to serve a suspension of a game or more heading into next year.

Being out for some potential games is also only part of the problem for any team interested in signing Hunt. He also comes with some serious public relations concerns. Some teams might not want to deal with the stigma of adding Hunt to the team. He could be labeled a character concern or a locker room cancer. The team might also be afraid of further incidents, especially since a third violent outburst was only uncovered after the fact by TMZ (again).

The team that signs Hunt might reap the rewards of having such a brilliant young back around but it will also have to deal with the repercussions of bringing on damaged goods. Here is a look at the most likely destinations for Hunt.
