Shaquil Barrett, Edge rusher, Denver Broncos

Despite the fact that Chiefs fans could bring Shane Ray home to Kansas City, Barrett has been the more productive and talented pass rusher. The Broncos will likely try to retain Barrett, but with the selection of Bradley Chubb, it is clear that Barrett will be a rotation player in Denver.

Kansas City has more opportunity for Barrett, especially if Dee Ford exits in free agency. Barrett will likely be looking for a prove-it type deal and the value return on his production could be a good fit. Even if the Chiefs retain Ford, adding a third pass rusher should be a priority for the Chiefs as Breeland Speaks has not shown the ability to live up to his draft position and would benefit to playing with his hand in the dirt.

Next. The Chiefs are flawed, but still control their own destiny. dark

Barrett has 14 sacks and 24 tackles for a loss in 59 games as a Bronco, and much of that production has come as a rotational player. It is reasonable to believe that Barrett could make it as a full-time starter, but even if that is not the case he would be excellent depth. Taking a talented player away from the division rival Broncos is just an added bonus.
