Jordan Fuller, Safety, Ohio State

Safety Eric Berry, as incredible as he is, will not be around forever. The Chiefs defense should start looking for a player for Berry to mentor to be his eventual replacement.

Jordan Fuller (no relation to current Chief Kendall Fuller) is a raw athletic safety who flashes high potential. Fuller is a year or two away from being relied upon as a starter in the NFL, but having a mentor like Eric Berry would help unlock Fuller’s potential.

There are concerns about Fuller’s technique and efficiency as a tackler, but he plays competitively and has the athleticism to close on the ball. A candidate to rise up draft boards because of his size and athleticism, Fuller is likely an early day 3 pick right now.

Another safety to watch for the Chiefs is Delaware’s Nasir Adderley. Despite being a small school prospect, Adderly shows a lot of promise in coverage and plays the deep center field position as well as anyone in this draft class. Adderley is a likely day 2 pick but could be a dark horse to sneak into the back end of the 1st round.
