Madden ’19 simulation: Chiefs overcome Patriots in Week 6

The Kansas City Chiefs head into Sunday Night Football undefeated and looking to stay that way against the New England Patriots.

The Kansas City Chiefs will have a tough task ahead of them, traveling to Foxborough to face the New England Patriots under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football. So lets fire up the ole Playstation and run this game through a Madden ’19 simulation, shall we?

In our Madden sim, the Chiefs get on the clock first as Harrison Butker nailed an early 47-yard field goal to give the Chiefs a 3-0 first quarter lead.

James White caught a four yard pass from Tom Brady under a minute into the second quarter making it 7-3, New England. Butker was forced to kick another field goal, this time from 33 yards, after the offense stalled. Brady then threw another touchdown pass, this time to Chris Hogan, and Steven Gostkowski nailed a 34 yard field goal as time expired to end the half with a 17-6 lead for the Pats.

The Chiefs defense shut out the Patriots in the second half. In the third quarter, Kareem Hunt ran in a touchdown from a yard out, then Andy Reid elected to go for two and got it. in the fourth quarter Tyreek Hill caught a 46-yard touchdown pass from Patrick “Showtime” Mahomes, with under two minutes remaining to give Kansas City the lead and the win.

The final score: the Chiefs come out victorious, 21-17.

In the sim, Mahomes threw for 217 yards and a touchdown against the Patriots defense. He also took home a 62 percent completion percentage. While Brady threw for 246 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Hunt was the games leading rusher with 69 yards on the ground and a touchdown to boot. Tyreek Hill had another coming out party on another big stage. Tyreek Hill was the best receiver in the contest. Hill hauled in six receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown. Travis Kelce averaged 11 yards per catch totaling 47 receiving yards.

Defensively for the Chiefs, Anthony Hitchens and Reggie Ragland racked up six tackles a piece both having one for a loss. The Chiefs sacked Tom Brady once when Dee Ford got into the backfield as he has been known to do this year. Most importantly, Ron Parker picked off the future first ballot Hall of Famer to ice the game for the Chiefs.
