Predicting the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad
Jehu Chesson – WR
If Jehu Chesson clears waivers you would have to think he is getting stashed. He was a 4th round pick from just a year ago. He knows the system well and has been a special teams ace for us. This would be one they would most like to keep in their back pocket.
Gehrig Dieter – WR
Gehrig Dieter was thought by many to break the 53-man roster this year. It turns out he didn’t after all, but he sure seemed to come a long way since last season. He’s another guy who knows the offense and if needed could be called up and step right in.
Dee Liner – DL
Chiefs said they would like to stash Dee Liner if he cleared waivers. So, if that’s true he might be an easy pick for me. He is a big boy who would be nice to hide away while he develops. I’d say there is a pretty good chance he clears waivers. Here’s hoping DEE LINER REJOINS THE D-LINE. (Ba-dum-ching!)
Ukeme Eligwe – LB
Ukeme Eligwe is likely the cut that shocked more than any others. I personally saw this coming, but it was still a tough decision. Ben Niemann came in and stole the spotlight for the inside linebacker backups. Eligwe with his special teams ability and high motor on defense could likely get claimed before ever having a chance to make it here. I am gonna gamble with this one and say he clears waivers and makes our 10-man practice squad.
