Let’s take a closer look at all potential destinations for Bashaud Breeland and take a look at the odds of each team signing the cornerback.

At this point, all that we can do is just sit and wait. Even as I write this, Bashaud Breeland might step into the world of social media and confirm his destination. Then again, we might be forced to wait another day (or two or more) as the free agent cornerback makes up his mind about his future home.

To bring you up to speed, Breeland is one of the best overall defenders available on the open market, a 26-year-old cornerback with nearly 60 starts under his belt already with the Washington Redskins. We wouldn’t even be talking about his availability in late summer, save for the fact that he had an unexpected failed physical when a cut on his foot became infected. Otherwise, he’d be in training camp with the Carolina Panthers raking in $24 million over the next three seasons.

Instead it’s late July, Breeland has taken a free agent tour with a number of teams, leaving each without a deal in hand. He’s clearly surveying his options, hoping to use them against the other, in his goal of making back the money he lost earlier this offseason.

So while we wait, let’s remind ourselves of everything we know to this point about the teams involved. Let’s also give them odds on signing Breeland based on some educated guesses. Here’s an in-depth look at Breeland’s suitors and his odds of signing with each.
