Overall ratings for NFL teams have been leaked from the upcoming release of Madden ’19 and the Kansas City Chiefs are among the above average scores.

With a new Madden ’19 game on the way, it’s not surprising to see some rankings leaked ahead of time to help generate interest in the game and debate among video games and NFL fans, since it’s so easy to feel like your favorite team was cheated or treated fairly just by looking at a few numbers.

This year, if the below report is correct, the Philadelphia Eagles are by far the most talented roster in the NFL. With an overall rating of 90, it’s incredible to see that no single team even gets within 5 points of the defending Super Bowl champions. Speaking of, the New England Patriots at least come in second.

As for other franchises, the NFC is reportedly looking better than the AFC, but most analysts would already with that sentiment. As for where the Kansas City Chiefs stand, the team received an overall score of 80, but it remains behind several AFC teams despite winning two division titles in a row.

After the Patriots with 84, the Pittsburgh Steelers clock in at 83 overall and the Jacksonville Jaguars are one point lower than that. The Tennessee Titans and Oakland Raiders are also one point better than the Chiefs, at least in these rankings, which should butter someone’s toast (or whatever kids are saying these days).

Much of the NFL will be waiting to see what Patrick Mahomes will deliver on a regular basis or not. With Tyreek Hill, Kareem Hunt, Travis Kelce and Sammy Watins in the fold, Mahomes could accelerate his learning curve and adjust all ratings accordingly.

Here’s a full look at the Madden ratings as reported on Monday night.
